Good morning everyone

Why did I bother setting the alarm for 7am? The body was woken up at 3am by the legs performing the Helston Floral Dance. Now when it's too late for sleep they have stopped. The joy of WED.

I think only you can answer your question. If there is no pressing need to get up in the morning at a certain time, try to get as much sleep as you can. Do not care about what other people might think. It is of primary interest to get as much sleep as you can, because getting and being overtired just makes the legs worse. And thus can lead to a negative spiral.

If you have set the alarm because you have to get up for work, then thats understandable. If not then ignore setting the alarm. I am retired and suffer badly with my RLS, mostly because i am sensitive of all the meds, but thats another story. I wake up sometimes many times in the night and get up to pace then go back to bed to try again. This morning after the usual up and down pacing, i woke at 7-00 legs playing up, i got up let the dog out to do her business had a cuppa while waiting for her , then i went back to bed, to see if i could get any more sleep, i managed another 3/4 hr, legs decided it was time for me to get up and stay up, not much of any extra sleep. but every bit of sleep can help when sleep deprived. So sleep when ever your legs let you. even naps in the day again if you are lucky enough to be retired.

I would love to HAVE to set an alarm! I don't even have a clock that I can see in the night.
