Hello Monty. I am sorry to hear of your extreme tiredness since starting ropinerole. Have you read the leaflet which comes with the pills. I looked up the side effects and see that it says that, although rare, a severe allergic reaction can occur which includes a rash, itching, difficulty breathing etc. If this was happening me I would definitely stop and seek advice - even from a pharmacist who should be very knowledgeable about drug reactions. The ropinerole is certainly not helping you.
I Tried several medications that I had severe reactions to . Usually when you have been through a few you are eligible to be given an opioid . I am now on Buprenorphine I take 1mg nightly and it is perfect . I sleep like a baby , my memory is crystal clear . In fact I feel as if I no longer have restless legs .
I was talking to a doctor today I met on a cruise ship his speciality is geriatrics and he agrees after iron opioids are best treatment for RSL
Go back to your doctor as soon as possible,
If by any chance you are near New York City dr Glen Brooks prescribes Buprenorphine. I bought a years supply back to Australia .
Ps Buprenorphine works immediately and never needs increasing.
Monty, maybe the dosage is too high or low! I get three mg tablets, cut them in half then again in quarters. I start with 1/4 prior to the usually time it comes on and wait an hour, then take half. I’m up to 3/4 of pill, if it works, I don’t need to take the final 1/4, but if necessary I take final 1/4! Been doing this routine for 3-4 yrs. Do hope you get relief!☝️🙏
