Thoughts Please

Hello All,

I've been following your posts daily and thought I would just jump in for some further advice please.

I'm taking Pregabalin 0.25 twice a day then .50 prior to bed so 100mg in total, I'm also taking co-codimol 30/500mg sometimes 3 times a day sort of dip in and out of this dose as GP not keen on me taking long term so try to do without it but do take it as often as not. I wake ever night still and this has been the situation since starting to take this medication but in the main my day and evening symptoms are no longer a problem(very rare) I would love as most with RSL to sleep all night without the breakthrough symptoms, I vary from having RSL bad in the night and having to get up for a few hours to managing a quick trip to the toilet and getting back in bed eventually being able to get back to sleep (sometimes after taking co-codimol or extra Pregabalin)

It's now in the main in my ankles and under my feet in the middle of the night, mainly in one foot or the other, if it comes on earlier in the evening that's mainly in my lower leg one or the other again.

I don't know if I should just continue as I am or increase the dose of pregabalin or co-codimol, my gp won't know it's guess work with her.

I take magnesium, B12, D3 and slow Iron also.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I think that your dose is too low! I take 300mg per day and could never manage on the dose you are taking.

Hi Doversoul

Thanks for reply I’ve got it wrong my tablets are .50mg so 200mg per day! Still less than you though have you taken 300mg for long? What I’m trying to say is if I increase will I have to start taking more and more? Do you take anything else as well?

Thanks in advance.

Well worth going up to 300. You won't augment on Lyrica. But will get withdrawal if you go too high.

Great thank you Madlegs1 will try another 50mg I take 100mg prior to bed would you take 150mg ? Also would you continue with the co-codimol or stop that? Thank you

Going to 150 should be grand.

Just always run any changes in medication by your doctor, in case it interferes with other meds you may be on.

Don't stop anything while experimenting. The co codimol is probably giving you the best relief. But it is always a good idea to use many meds at a small dose rather than just one at a high level.

This avoids many problems.

Good night.
