Good for you! I did well with another benzodiazepine Clonazpam until I found I had a bit of sleep apnea. Small risk that I wouldn’t wake up!

That’s wonderful. I didn’t know doctors still prescribe Valium. I also been on many different meds with mixed results.

My HMO and doc will not prescribe benzos for the "elderly," age 65 on -- I am 83 -- because of their bad effect on memory and balance. And when it was prescribed it was low dose and not more than 5 days a week to avoid tolerance. Many auto accidents in the states are attributed to drivers taking benzos. A recent tv special here documented the problems of addiction and seizures with long-term use.
