Thanks for posting, this info has been taking from Dr Early's article on RLS at the John Hopkins Clinic. It has been posted before on here by members who found it on John Hopkins website. But i guess seeing it again will be useful for new members. Dr Early has video's on youtube giving explanations on RLS , RLS and the role of iron , RLS and Augmentation, and articles on RLS. He is one of the best RLS experts on RLS, and always good to listen to what he has to say.

Thanks very much - I missed this before.

Myself, I think this may be nearer the cause:

facebook.com/AbsoluteCureFo...

In the past, I have had minor outbreaks of psoriasis and eczema, I have RLS, of course, and more recently, I've had trouble with my eyes, choroidal neovascularization. Just over the past weekend it came to my attention that interleukin 17 (IL-17) is thought, or known, to be part of the immune response causing all these problems.

I think it's going to be very necessary to get to grips with how the immune system works, and how it goes wrong, and the factors affecting it to get to know how to avoid, get past, or get on top of, all these conditions.

Drugs to lower IL-17 currently look as if they around $3,500 a month, though vitamin D may help, I read.

Many thanks for this. Very interesting.

I've been reading other articles I found from reading this one which were also interesting, particularly the role of autoimmune factors and leaky gut in causing inflammation and RLS. I certainly have issues with histamines and IBS, all issues causing inflammation, the latter which may play a big part in RLS, along with iron deficiencies in the brain. I'm going to give some of the suggested supplements and vitamins a go. If they help I'll let you know!
