Hi haven’t been on in a long time as my issues resolved upon getting off ALL antidepressants and cholesterol meds. I can have a tendency towards restless legs if I’m dehydrated over tired or drive too much.

Reason I’m writing is I read today on my med alert research that ‘gaba and penta’ have an alarming high rate of suicide and new drug addiction in the study group. It was done in Switzerland with a very large group of mostly young people. Results were terrifying. I know a lot of people on this site recommend these drugs. Beware!!!!!

Hi, do you mean the drug “gabapentin”? It is frequently used to treat RLS.

I think you should post the link/source of your information so that we can read it ourselves. Thanks

Hope this helps

Yes I have read similar in this article

A 2017 study published in the Journal of Experimental Pharmacology, researchers examined the risks and side effects of Neurontin (Gabapentin) usage. After reviewing dozens of animal studies, clinical studies and case studies, they concluded that:[3]

“[Neurontin] can induce diverse side effects such as teratogenicity, hypoventilation, respiratory failure, deficits in visual field, myopathy, self-harm behavior, suicidal behavior, mitochondrial toxicity, somnolence, dizziness, and asthenia.”
