Body numbness
Hmm, that doesn’t sound great. What dose are you on? If it’s high there’s a small chance it is early onset augmentation - though the numbness is certainly unusual. It’s a tricky drug though. Nothing would surprise me about it. Is numbness mentioned in the leaflet with the tablets?
I had numbness in both feet, worse on one side while on Recuip. I am now 8 days off this awful med and noticed the numbess is pretty much gone. When I mentioned the numbness to my neurologist he said " oh that cant be from that med" I said I thought it was. He said it isn't even on the side effect list but I know it was present then and has subsided considerably since I have stopped taking Recuip. That being said, I am not a doctor and the fact that your numbness is only on one side I strongly suggest you call your doctor and mention it to him/her. You need to rule out a TIA so please call today!
I think you can report side effects. Somewhere online. I think that is how they establish side-effects and frequencies after the medicines has been admitted. In The Netherlands you can report through the site of Lareb. Don’t know about the UK or USA. Can someone else fill in?
Well I was merely reporting my findings as far as my numbness but more importantly I urged her to seek medical advice about the numbness on just one side. This could be of much more concern at this point than a drug side effect
Wondering if maybe it’s a pinched nerve ? Lol, trying not to think the worst.. waiting to see if it will go away. But will definitely get checked out if it’s still here within the end of the week
It may very well be. I was convinced my numbness was a pinched nerve also but now I believe it was a Recuip side effect (one of many)
I took mirapex and it caused stiffness, pain and numbness. I felt like I was beat up every night. The Neupro patch had far less side effects but did not work at the maximum recommended dose for RLS. Now taking ropinirole and it causes a numbness feeling in my feet, especially my left, body stiffness, and lower back pain, but it does stop the RLS about one hour after ingestion. Dr just prescribed 100 mg tramadol slow release for the pain along with the 1mg ropinirole, which I am going to try to reduce to 0.5 mg to see if I can get relief from RLS and the side effects. That is my story, hope you can find some relief.
