How can a big drug company "run-out" of Pramexipole?

I'm in the same situation and worried about a substitute for Pramexipole. RLS is terrifying without Pramexipole.

What have you been told and by whom, your doctor or the pharmacy. And what is your dosage..?

The pharmacy claims they cannot get it from the supplier. There are no doses available. Last refill I had to split a small tablet into 4 because they hadn't the 1/4 dose that I take. Now they're out of everything.

This has happened before, on here and for myself. What i had to do was, find another Pharmacy to see if they could help, lucky for me the first one i phoned had some on the shelf, then i had to phone my doctors to explain the situation, i got a prescription a one off, so i could get the Pramipexole from the Pharmacy who had them Sometimes, its a fault in the production of making them, which holds things up. I am in the UK, so dont know if you are, to try what i did.

We advise that if one chemist is unable to fulfil your prescription, you should try another. The larger chains tend to be less affected by these shortages.
