EARLS Patient Survey 2018

To coincide with International RLS Day today, the European Alliance for Restless Legs Syndrome (EARLS) is conducting a study to understand your experience of RLS.

The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and your answers will be completely anonymous. It is currently open to residents of the UK, Ireland, France, Finland, Netherlands and we will be adding Austria, Germany and Norway over the coming days.

This is an important survey so please do take a few minutes to complete it.

Thank you

Like mot surveys it is limited by the answers it expects to get. There is no obvious way of contributing with an answer to a question that hasn't been asked.

Thank you for your feedback. As we are all volunteers, analysing this survey will be a significant task. Many of the questions provide an opportunity to comment. Given we already have 600 responses and going trough these will be a sizeable task, we hope you will understand that we had to focus the survey questions.

Will it be open to Australia?

Unfortunately, Australia is not a member of EARLS.

I completed the survey.

Almost every question has the opportunity through a ‘remarks’ field to add your specifics.

One -important- question I missed is about the severity of the/my RLS. I think it is an important factor to group the results. It may be worthwhile to add asap.

Hi LotteM, we excluded this question on purpose as it can be extremely subjective and what it severe to me may not be severe to you etc. We instead asked about the impact which RLS has on a person's quality of life, which is less subjective but will still provide an indication on the severity of symptoms. Many thanks for your kind feedback and for completing the survey, it is appreciated.

Nope, still does not open.

Afraid I do not know why! We have had over 1,000 responses, 50 alone today, so I do not know what it won't open for you. Perhaps you could try a different browser?
