Hi, I recently discovered it is (very) possible I have heart failure and while checking the symptoms of the condition against my own I came across RLS. When I Googled it, I see strong connections have been made between a much higher incidence of heart disease in women with RLS than in the normal population. When I checked it on here however I could only find one entry with no discussion on it. Some of the symptoms of heart failure, like exhaustion and breathlessness are easy to overlook (I have for years) so I wondered how many people here have been diagnosed with heart problems, or suspect they may have them.
I have had a cough and IBS for years, both of which are symptomatic of heart failure, and it is only because of bad oedema in my feet and increasing breathlessness that I discovered the possibility of heart failure at all. It makes me wonder how many people are wandering around with the condition undiagnosed. Also, I wonder if heart problems are causing RLS or they just have some common causality. Any thoughts or personal experience of this?
