I have been doing research about RLS and what studies have been going on. After over 20 years of sufferings, I am not taking this kicking around anymore. I have taken some advice from some forum contributors, "taking Calcium Citrate and Vit B!" . I think it is helping some and I read about a study that was done in hospitals. One in particular stood out and they said condition in some peoples feet called NEURMA. She checked and I have it in both feet. It may not sure rls but she said that it dos help. You get a series of injections in the affected foot /feet. The injection is Alcohol Sclerosing. If you more information, let me know.

My doctor said she would be willing to speak with anyone's doctors who want help with the information. She was so excited about this and that it would give relief to people who suffer from RLS.

Morton’s neuroma is treated with alcohol injections but that’s deep pain or tingling in the feet caused by trauma. RLS is a completely different thing- constant urge to move legs/ feet and the sensation is relieved by movement.

I doubt alcohol injections will help RLS.

However, if your doctor believes you may also have neuroma, it may help that.

I’m like madlegs- gives me heebie jeebies just thinking about it..

Good luck

I have had Mortons Neuromas in BOTH FEET ... I have had alcohol injections, cortisone injections and multiple surgeries on BOTH FEET!! If you have not had the alcohol injections yet I highly urge you NOT TO GET THE ALCOHOL INJECTIONS EVER!!! Very painful #1 and the alcohol injections DESTROY THE NERVES IN YOUR FEET!!! Please do not put yourself through this because it will cause you more problems and a whole lot of pain and I ended up with surgery on my feet anyhow and they said when I had the surgery that the alcohol injections did a lot of damage to my feet that cannot be repaired!!

I have RLS horrible and have suffered with it also as long as I can remember and I am 68 years old and miserable with it all.

BTW...when you get the alcohol injections they put the needle right down through the top of your foot behind your toes and it hurt so bad... I went through a series of 6 weeks of them in both feet once a week and it was worthless and ended up being more harmful than good!! Get more than one opinion before you try them PLEASE!!!
