Hello, I am a newbie here at RLS I have just joined and wanted to say hello before I jump right into a question. I have had RLS for several years now but have just noticed a new symptom lately. I have noticed when I sit down on the toilet to pee-urinate before the urine starts to flow I will get RLS really badly in my legs until the urine starts to flow. when the urine starts to flow the RLS disappears. I also do not have any RLS before or after the incident...However, There is a pause before my urine begins.
Weird I know but was wondering if someone else may have experienced this??

My RLS gets really bad at night and when I lie down...I also can't sleep until 3 in the morning and go to the toliet about 8 times a night although I have been diagnosed with RLS I am going to go back the doctors on Friday and ask for more tests..maybe blood tests and actual scans on my legs and my uterus I'm wondering if maybe it's pressing on my nerves??anyone else have these symptoms??
Hi! Please see my reply to sticksNstones below. I have RLS only in my abdomen. I couldn’t find any help for it until I stumbled on an article on this site. I can send you more info if needed. There is help!
Yes, I can get this as well, but only in my left leg. I think it is internal pressure because I can also get it if I overeat. Pregnant women can also suffer RLS for the same reasons. These seem to be a physical cause of RLS.
Hi! I have “RLS” only in my abdomen. I went to every kind of urinary specialist until I stumbled on an article on this site describing the same thing! Before that I would feel like I had to pee every time I would lie down but when I got to the toilet I didn’t need to pee. When I found the article my doctor gave me Lyrica and it has changed my life! I can actually sleep!! Sometimes I still need to put pressure on it and I do this by lying on my stomach with a folded towel under my abdomen. Good wishes to everyone here!!
