RLS in one limb at a time?

Noticed this in various blogs - When I think about it I only have RLS in one limb (arm or leg) at a time. When it goes from one it starts in another. Is this common or do some get it in all at the same time - Worth exploring to understand more about this nightmare!

Quite often I would have it in only one limb be it arm or leg.but just as often it would be in more than one limb, and sometimes in all 4 limbs.

If it starts in the leg(s) it might just stay there, but if it starts in the arm(s) it will definitely be in the leg(s) within a few minutes.

same here most the time starts off in one limb just as you think it's going BANG! in another then in both arms think the arms worst unless your good at walking on your hands lol no where put your arms if it's bad at least can walk about with legs ,

does your speech go slury or your concentration go when you get it bad in your arms been told that it's common

Mine is normally legs only or arms and legs. I dont get it in one leg (although that's how it started off) or in the arms only. When I get it in my arms I also get chest pains and that's when the shooting pains kick in. The latter I dont get very often, maybe once or twice a week at most thank the lord. I'm hearing of people getting these all the time and by some of the comments, my RLS is still quite mild - it doesnt feel like it though!

Hi, mine is mostly in my legs but but if it goes to my arms then thats it. All four are off and also my upper body jerks. Thens it's impossible for me to try and walk it off as you can't balance. The pain is worse if it's in my arms, and I know when it coming into my arms I get a funny sensation and a "feeling" in my head that it's coming.

Very often most of us have had it start up in one limb or one side. Mine was on the left all the time, until it exploded 16 yrs ago, and now it is all over. It is not uncommon for it t travel from limb to limb.

It can be between your shoulder baldes, your back, arms, etc all body pars, plus the legs, too are fair game.

Yes, I can get it in one leg at a time. It then spreads to the other leg sometimes. I also get it in a calf muscle, which then moves to the thigh before spreading to the other leg.

I can get it in all four limbs, starting in either an arm or a leg but if it starts in an arm it will definately end up in one of my legs. I've had occasions where it went through all four limbs, one by one. And don't laugh, but I'm certain I've had it in an eyebrow. Ha, if only that were the case all the time, I could definately cope with an itchy eyebrow!

Mine is usually mainly in my legs, often in opposing arm and leg and sometimes in all four limbs
