Have you just started the Tramadol? Opiates itch like ¥**# for a few months and then it dies down.

I used Eurax cream to help- it worked well. I don't know if an antihistamine would help but be careful as there are only one or two that don't make rls worse.

Good luck.

So when did the itching start? Can you relate it to anything new?

The Eurax cream is still very effective.!!!😆

Tramadol can, Lrica too I think.

The patch can cause itching at the site.

Tramadol never made me itch.... what part of the world do u live in? Im in Australia and every winter I get itchy skin and the Dr says its only from the cold and dryness... moisturizers help. See a Doctor though to make sure it isnt something else. My mum suffered from Shingles for 5 years as she was misdiagnosed by the first doctor... Keep asking and keep searching for answers. Doctors are great but they are human and can make mistakes too.

Any medicine can make anyone itch. Some are more inclined to than others but each person is an individual. I agree I would see a Dr and they should be able to assess. There are multiple possible causes. The most common is dry skin but there are lots of others Drs will consider before blaming dry skin.

Been on Tramadol going on 8 yrs, and I do get itchy at times but it isn’t constant, and it feels good when I ask my hubby to scratch my back.

Yes I think it is the tramodol because it isn’t all the time but when it starts itsmy back and tummy that are the worst ,

Hi beady3, me too, MOSTLY the back and the tummy, just like you. Once I get few scratches in I’m good to go. I keep a backscratcher on my night table for those nights my hubby is already sleeping. Good to hear from you.

please clarify for me. Earlier you said you have been on the Tramadol for 3 years but the itching is intermittent? Do u take the Tramadol intermittently too? If yes, perhaps you can note down the days you take Tramadol and see if they correspond with the itching. Allow for a few days for symptoms to build up or die down.... and see a doctor as well as its possible to have 2 overlapping conditions.

How much/often do you take tramadol? Also, could be an interaction between 2 drugs. I had a lot of bad effects from lyrica but I don't remember if itching was one of them.

Hi beady3. Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m on Tramadol and have been for 8 years. I too get the itchies but not every night nor day, when ever it feels like acting up. I don’t take any other medications so I can only say the Tramadol is the cause, and I won’t dare stop taking it because the thought of having an RLS attack makes me panic. My itching isn’t do unbearable, after a good scratch it’s satisfied.

Thank you for reply, I think mine is about like yours not all the time , I couldn’t stop tramodol either the rls is bad enough as it is, I go for about 8days no probs then it’s realy bad every night for quite a while, x
