It certainly won't be for ever.

Have you any codeine medications in the house? If you have- take it.

Otherwise try some paracetamol / acetaminophen - it may help a bit.

Also- if the xanaz hasn't kicked in- warm a mug of milk and put in a tip of teaspoon each of cinnamon and turmeric powders with good dollop of honey - drink slowly. A dash of cayenne will help - but very little. More for pain really.

I hope you get a bit of rest.

You really need to get some Tramadol in the morning from the doctor for about a week- to get you over the hump. Clonidin will also help - but he may not give that to you.

Stress that you have achieved so much on your own and need help for this bit.

Lyrica will take a bit of time to get up to speed- I never found it up to much- preferred Gabapentin . But horses for courses.

Good luck and keep strong- you will get through this.

Oh Katerina,

I know exactly what you’re going through

As Madlegs suggests, try to get some Tramadol and clonidine.

It will last another 10-14 days BUT each day will be a little easier.

Stay strong and it will get better. Be careful you don’t fall over- I had quite a few nasty falls due to exhaustion & losing balance.

We will all be sending you positive thoughts to help you through this.

How much tramadol should i take to have relief?I ll ask my doctor for it tomorrow. Thanks again!!

in reply toKaterina22

If your doctor will let you have some Tramadol, which is what most use to help while weaning of a DA, then always start with the lowest dose first. They come in 50mgs capsules and you can increase them but you need to ask your doctor, he should prescribe how many you can take a day. Stay strong, you will come through this.

You will need Tramadol ER (Extended release) 100. For at least the nights.

Hi Katerina,

I asked Dr Buchfuhrer by email for help on the worst nights and he said I could take Tramadol 50 mg every 4 hours for those 4 or 5 days when it was unbearable. I had to beg my doctor for them.

They allowed me about an hour or two sleep a night for a week.

Cannabis was better but as it’s illegal here in the UK, I ended up with quite a strong strain ( probably skunk) and had panic attacks. So if you are in the USA,& cannabis is legal in your State, find a sedating strain and it will help.

Otherwise, the tramadol should help dampen down those awful leg jerks.

Take care
