Hi Everybody
Has anybody had to stop taking Targinact?

Is there another name for Targinact which might be used in the UK?
Itis advised to wean down slowly. Stopping Targinact will usually cause an increase in RLS.As it contains Oxycodone the "usual "stopping opiate withdrawals will apply. Targinact is approved for treatment of severe RLS in the UK. My hubby took it for a few months for back pain and when he stopped his lowered dose he got RLS symptoms and he has never had RLS before. I will add his RLS symptoms only lasted a couple of days but likely to be longer in a RLS sufferer. It has an added ingredient to help with opiate induced constipation which is also suposed to help with opiate addiction in individuals with previous addiction problems but this can block the Oxycodone effectiveness x
Thank you Pippins 2 for your reply.
I have actually got the tablets but can't bring myself to try them as coming off the Neupro patch last year was scary.
Have tried most other meds for rls, don't think I will go down the Targinact route though, even though I know we are all different.
Thank you again
