Has anyone on here got positive things to say about ropinirole. I worry about it and don’t want to go up to 0.5. I get very anxious and think it makes it worse. Are there any really good alternatives cI would love to find a way through diet and vitamins that would prevent the problem

Every time I took it, it made have an upset stomach or throw up.

Ive been on it for nearly 17 years. About a year ago I went through augmentation, I was up to 3mg. I found supplements and alterior treatments so I can maintain a lower dose. Back down to 1 1/2 tablets and have been in a good spot. Very few flare ups, sleeping well. So I would not be afraid to take it , but do find supplements to help. I use Seratame and 500mg magnesium. Infrared light therapy and cranial sacral treatments. Have gone several months with no RLS symptoms.

I would like that thank you. Do I need to give you email or can you do it through messenger. Not sure how these things work

Its easy when I figure it out. I go to my profile and then click on my name on the very top line, in your case click on Smiffyliz and a list drops down. Halfway down the list is an item "messages" Click on that and you will see a top right hand corner box that says "compose"

Enter the name of the addressee and your then able to type a private message to that person.

When they receive the message they will get an email notification.

So here it comes

Yes I have - Ropinrole was a life changer for me and I have been on it for about 4 years. Yes it does initially upset your stomach but from day 1 it allowed me to sleep. Like yohlense I have started to augment and ended up adding Lyrica to my medication rather than increasing the Ropinrole dose (I am on 4 mg per day). I have been checking out other treatments as well and also have found Magnesium to be very effective in my case.

Thank you. I also take pregabalin which is Lyrica. I do sleep better but RLS now starts about 8.00pm which it didn’t do before ropinirole. I have taken magnesium for years for cramp but don’t find it helps rls

I have been taking Ropinrole for about 10 years. I started on 0.5 and have increased over the years to 1.25. I hav4 stayed at that level for about 5 years. I have no side effects and it is my lifesaver. My Mum has taken it for probably longer and she’s now 90 and takes it with Tramadol and A sleeping tablet to allow her to sleep.

It is the only tablet I take for anything and without it I am like a spring full of electricity ready to ping at any moment!

Does it make you very sleepy in the day time. I also feel a bit anxious and depressed with it and no energy but I am wondering if I increased it I could cut down on other meds

No, it doesn’t make me sleepy. I get a good nights sleep. I was taking Fluoxetine for anxiety, but have recently stopped that.

Hi smifyfilz. I was on ropinirole for years then they stopped working. I now take pramipexole teva prolonged-release 0.26mg. I have seen specialist, tried diets, various vitamins, there is no answer. and no where else to turn

I have had RLS. for 50 years getting worse as I get older. You might need to up dose.0.5 is not much. Doctor would advise you. good luck.
