No RLS for a while

Hi all,

So firstly I want to apologise for not sharing this info sooner. I'm gonna go straight into it here.

Please please look up 'urine therapy' and do some research on it, understand what it is and read/listen to people's testimonies.

I did a 3 day urine fast. Which is basically just drinking nothing but your own pee for 3 days. It was very hard initially, but I found that the more I did it the better it tasted. My IBS literally disappeared, so I can eat pretty much anything I want although I am strict with what I eat in order to sustain my health. My RLS basically went away which has been amazing.

Something you absolutely should do before starting urine therapy: eat nothing but sweet fruits for 3-4 days prior. Watermelon, mango, strawberries, heck anything sweet will make it easier. If you can, buy one of those young Coconuts that contain coconut water in them. They are also known as Thai Coconuts. If you drink the water from that prior to starting urine therapy it will give you a huge advantage taste wise.

I did urine therapy for 3 days and it was so strong healing-wise that my body went into detox mode. All of the toxins in my body were being brought to the surface and as a result I couldn't get out of bed all day. I felt very weak and my family was worried so if you are going to do this then make sure you have someone watching over you.

This has just been my experience, and I am sharing it with you all. I'm not saying it will work for you, but if the doctor told me all I had to do was drink my own pee to get out of this RLS nightmare, I would atleast consider it.

My pleasure jools

I drank pi$$ for years, mind you I was in my late teens. It was canned, carbonated and called Harp and you could get it in a pub for £1 a pint. :)

There are numerous claims about the benefit of the practice and it has may famous adherents including Gandhi:

rec.food.drink.beer.narkive...

I know Siberian Shamans drank the urine of reindeer who had consumed fly agaric mushrooms in order to get the psychotropic effects:

Once, while living amongst the Saami, his hosts started feeding reindeer with fly-agarics, which the deer consumed with some relish. Waiting for nature to take its course, the fruits of micturition were collected in a bucket (strapped to the animals' flanks perhaps?), boiled up in a pot (I'm guessing to concentrate the brew or perhaps to make it more potable) and shared round.

"I don't drink and I've never taken any drugs" he told me. "But I took some when they passed it round. Well, you have to, don't you? They expect it. Anyway, I was high as a kite I was, high as a kite. There was an old eighty year old grandmother with us, and I fancied her, that's how high I was. High as a bloody kite!"

I think I'd prefer the reindeer urine to my own :) I've always maintained I'd lick sh1t off the street if it would cure my RLS, (to emphasise my desperate desire for an end to this nightmare), seems now I only have to drink my own wee - SCORE!....I think!! :) :)

Your own :)

Can't reach the dispenser :)

Well, I'm officially at a loss for words.

Glad it works for you. I feel the need to go to the restroom now... (no, not to drink anything!)

so glad it worked for you but I think I have to stick to eating trees to manage my rls lol . Not the greatest thing to consume either but a person does what he has to do to control this awful disease. Best of luck for continued success. Keep us posted please

No worries

Thank you so much for posting this b-to-b but how I wish you were reporting that it didn't work. As you have had such a positive outcome I feel I have to give it serious consideration but I am really daunted at the prospect of consuming urine - even my own.

Could you let us know how long you have been RLS free and how quickly it worked?

Yes it was very daunting but you can make it easy for yourself. Do not consume any salt or salty foods at least 5 days prior to starting. That is what you absolutely should avoid before starting. At the same time, you want to be eating mainly sweet fruits. Watermelon is a big advantage if you have it. Fresh coconut water will make the whole thing a breeze.

I did it about a month ago. My RLS had been getting a little better prior to that because I was changing up my diet and other things but yeah I'm not gonna lie the rls went away after the UT.

I will post about my eating routine because looking back I realise my RLS was caused by eating too much food over the years. I would eat 3 times a day, sometimes 4 and my stomach just never had a rest to digest all that food. As a result it was constantly stressed and rls came about. Will post more about that.

Dr, Buchfuhrer has the urine therapy on his website, comes under the list of weird and wonderful that people send in for their RLS. This one was back in 1998 .

Supposedly it's in the bible too.

Ok I will tell you all about something else you could do at the same time to make it easier.

Drink distilled water

As we all know, the pharmaceutical industry is a big bloody sham. They do not care about our health and never have. Well, it turns out they put fluoride and other nasty chemicals in our water.

So I recommend buying a water distiller to make pure water. We do not need fluoride in our water. Just look up what fluoride is and what does to your body.

The best one on the market is the megahome water distiller.

I bought one a while back but it only works on a 120V system (whatever they use in the US and UK) and they tell you in the manual not to use adapters. So a big waste of money for me, but that's all good. I live in Australia. We have 8 months of sun every year so I just drink the water out of Coconuts.

There are some unbelievable testimonies (and case studies) of people's experiences with drinking distilled water. If you were to drink 3-4 litres a day whilst eating sweet fruits and avoiding salty foods prior to starting urine therapy, I promise you will breeze through this guys. You could all link up on Skype and do it at the same time. Moral support could be the difference maker.

Anyway, hope this helps.

in reply toBacktobasics95

By all hooking up on Skype and doing it at the same time, do you mean all drink the urine at the same time and watch each other grimace? 😅

(I know what you mean, I'm just in a giddy mood)

Hey, water directly from coconuts sounds good!

Backtobasics95 profile image
Backtobasics95 in reply to

Yeah I suppose it would make it easier. Yeah coconut water (fresh) is beautiful. You could even drink just coconut water for 2 weeks. Supposedly that works pretty good as well. Not half as good as your own urine but still pretty good.

in reply toBacktobasics95

I was thinking about all this last night and thinking how unfair we are all being by having fun on your expense. I, for one, will stop. I congratulate you on finding something that works for you!! I can tell that you are very comfortable with yourself and that you aren't afraid to share with others what you have found works for you (no matter how "out there" it may sound). It sounds weird to those who don't have it in their belief systems. We are all so different in so many ways!

Thanks for sharing,

P.S. About the coconut water: I wonder, is the coconut water you get at health food stores as pure? If so, it is good!

Hey that's ok haha, I just want one person to really try this and see how good it is and reap the benefits.

I've done all kinds of experiments with my body over the years. I've found that we rely too heavily on what the doctors say, what our parents say, what the 'experts' say, instead of just trying and seeing for ourselves! It may be scary moving in that direction, but ultimately worth it in the long run (as long as you aren't completely careless). But many people have bills to pay and kids to feed, so unfortunately don't have time to really focus on their health which is a shame.

Yeah many people don't like being told that what they are doing is based on deception. I used to get in arguments with people about certain things, but now I have learned it is best just to love them and hope they see something in you that makes them want to change. Tough nut to crack I suppose.

I get the coconut water fresh out of a thai coconut, which I buy at the markets.

Drinking truely distilled water - that is, pure H2O - only, or large quantities will kill you.

Maybe you meant FILTERED water?

Interesting but I think I will stick to the meds I have

DicCarlson profile image

From Dr. Weil's website "First of all, I know of no scientific studies that support the notion that drinking one’s own urine is a worthwhile treatment for any condition. Secondly, as a physician, I view urine as a waste product that the body wants to get rid of, and I suspect that any perceived benefits from this treatment are placebo responses set in motion by breaking the powerful psychological taboo against drinking urine."

Haha sounds about right. When they can't make money off of it they have to try and trash it.

I always say "whatever works" but I draw the line here, and my thinking is the sdame as Dr. Weil's. I know many people rail against the pharma industry, but some of us NEED meds, and not for RLS only. If you are happy with this, am glad for you. But, over the last 25 years I have seen it all in my research, and you are the first person I have ever heard of using this seriously. Please keep us informed as to how it goes. I will live vicariously through your experience. I have a lot more than RLS, so I am not about to throw this "trick" into my daily routine.. good luck!
