Taking HRT has nearly stopped the problem of my restless legs. I'd get 1 hours sleep & they would waken me up & keep me awake for hours. Since I started HRT they have not woken me up.

Most people including doctor's don't take the problem of restless legs seriously or try & help you. I think there is so many different reasons people start with restless legs. Good luck with sorting yours out. I think they key to stopping them is working out when they started which you have.

There have been people on here who find the opposite- stopping HRT stops RLS. Just proves we're all different.

Hiya I think you have to sort these signs out yourself because I don't think docs fully understand rls I'm quite sure I've got fibromyalgia with my symptoms but two doctors have sed no I've got mild sleep apnea so this pregabalin is really helping me at the moment I'm sorry but over my dead body would I go on hrt my mam rip was on them next you no she had breast cancer πŸ˜ͺ Soon as hospital knew that told her to stop immediately to late by then it's 9yr on tue for her not one person in both family's have had breast cancer so I blame hrt x

I think you have to sort most things out yourself. I've lost all faith in doctors & endos. I knew something was wrong with my thyroid. For a year I kept going back to my GP saying it. Because my blood tests were "normal" she said the problem with my thyroid was in my mind & not real. My thyroid problem was not in my mind it was cancer in my thyroid & I had to have it all removed.

I think everyone knows their own body & should always trust their own intuition & not accept what a doctor says if it feels wrong.

Because your mam had thyroid problems you maybe have as well. I get all my thyroid help & info from the healthunlocked Thyroid site.

I just want people to trust their own intuition & understanding of their own body & if your doctor dismisses your concerns either go back & see them for another appointment or see another doctor.

Yes, for women who have had a hysterectomy or have problems with menopause or female hormones.

Were you advised to change your diet after the heart attack? It may be something that you've started eating thinking it was healthy. e.g. salads with dessing. the dressings can contain artificial preservatives which could trigger rls.
