Well I have RLS and sleep walk or used to when I actually sleep which I don't do much of . I have never broken anything but when I was a child I would drag. a chair and open the door , they put bolts on after a while and I have done some strange things like sleep walk get dressed get back into bed and sleep talk my hub told me this . No recollection what so ever x

Hi and welcome jmsbdm. I have a tendency to walk into things half asleep or because I am wandering at night with the light off so I don't disturb anyone. I've broken toes and ribs in my nocturnal ramblings, well either that or the Mrs is kicking seven shades of sh1t out of me when she gets me asleep :)

Hi and welcome. When really exhausted through lack of sleep & because my MS means my balance is crap, I have fallen over quite often. Luckily not broken any furniture but I have suffered badly bruised legs, toes and arms.

Are you on any meds? They might cause sleep walking/ loss of balance.

When I was on Neupro patches I got up 'confused' then passed out in the bathroom injuring myself on 3 occasions. No issues since stopping Neupro.

Rls in itself shouldn't lead to sleepwalking - if anything, if one actually gets to sleep one is usually crashed out.

Various medications will have sleepwalking as a side effect.

What are you on?

I must have. The next day I found this on my kitchen counter top: a paper tpwel with 3 large hunks of butter (about 1/3 cup each). I had no recollection of having done that, nor could I have imagined why I would have done that. The next morning I woke up on the floor beside the foot of my bed with my head away from the head of the bed, curled up in the fetal position.I had no idea how I got there. The same thing happened the next morning. Hasn't happened since.

Hi there, fellow RLS & Sleepwalker!! I've had RLS now for years but it's not what has caused my sleep walking. But when my RLS does flare up , i do pace the floors at night half asleep from exhaustion. My sleep walking we're still not sure whats causing it but it'scaused me to fall alot. Also break alot of bones. Concussions, black eyes, broken hand, broken ribs & the biggest 1 is 2 fractures in the middle of my back. That can't be fixed, they have to heal on there own, and thats almost impossible because i have Osteoporosis really bad. They have changed my medicines so many times thinking that it has something to do with it. I got tired of the Dr's not knowing shit, so I'm now off all my meds but 2. As of 2 years ago i was probably taking 10 different kinds. Still sleep walking.
