Hi
Has anyone had weight gain on pramipexole
Hi.
Yes I have! But then lost its straight away since coming off prami.

How did you get off them please im desperate
Please read through my posts. It is all there.
I am not a doctor so please speak to your gp first if you decide to give up.
Good luck, and stay strong.

Hi Bro, put the name "Mark370" in the above search box for this forum or any of the following names: Yuna, Bganim, GillRLS, Bkc or DicCarlson. With your doctor's permission follow what they all did (they all did the same thing, myself included) and we all got relief from RLS symptoms and in some cases off the DAs immediately.
Ive been told to try magnesium tablets and iron does that work
How long have you been on prami? I have gone cold turkey but most people don't agree with this. Some believe getting a back up medicine like codein stuff.
In my case iron bisglycinate worked! On an empty stomach at night. But please read through the posts.

A year now and put 2 stone on...being put on waiting list to see neurologist but sick of all this...im tired all time no energy..swollen fingers and my doctor does not care!!
I feel for you.. please read about augmentation too. What I read was nobody should take prami more than a year.
If you read through all the posts here, you can gain the knowledge you need and go to see neurologist with all the info then he/she might take you more seriouly.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, believe me.

What is augmentation
healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/po... please read this link as Pippins did explained it very well what augmentation is. X
What dosage are you on?
00088mg
That's good. Minimum amount. So hopefully it will be easy to wean off.
Please check everything on this forum and read as much as you can before the appointment x
Thanks but what does augmentation mean please
Hi Brobert, if you read through the link already mentioned above it explains what augmentation is:

Here is an excellent read on augmentation: sleepreviewmag.com/2015/02/...
Not so much magnesium but a very specific kind of iron called "ferrous bisglycinate" taken on an empty stomach about an hour before bed. People on here take anywhere from 20mg to 50mg. But please read everyone's stories, they are spiritually uplifting. I buy Solgar's Gentle Iron from Amazon for $10 for 180 tablets. If you can find a smaller bottle for less money then go for it. Please let your doctor know what you're doing otherwise I will be crucified by the hall monitors on here.
One more thing Bro, my motto is iron first and prescription drugs last. It is not inconceivable that the iron will not work so don't ever give up because there are lots of treatments out there including an iron patch which is good for people with absorption problems. I've noticed that people with certain auto-immune diseases or who are on high doses of anti-depressants then the iron does not work immediately or maybe not at all. But you will see from the stories that for many the bisglycinate works the first night.
magnesium tablets help me! I take 600mg of a brand called «Collett»
Hi been an pramipexole one and a half with one pregablin for years and no weight gain but walk a lot also on my feet all day .for my work.
Like crazy...in my 1st week 5 pounds and lots of edema. Got off after 3 weeks because other side effects happened...crying, horrible dreams...
Hi,I am on Pramipexole and find that my weight is fairly static.Since being on this medication my RLS has been great. The only downside at the moment is that I have strange dreams
Yes I have, but if RLS is controlled we unfortunately just have to be careful not to go made with sugars, sweets, and alchol. Good luck shaft1952
I'm very unsure this med helped me gain weight because I've got a terrible sweet tooth. But ive gave up biscuits just over a week ago and have lost 3lb already so my prob is the bickies its awful at same time I just love a cuppa and a bickie but I've been doin good so far. I do allow myself a wee treat of one a day in the week but not as i was doin them with every cuppa.
