I'm honestly not sure if this is RLS or something other. It started yesterday, suddenly while laying in bed. I adjusted the position of my foot, and then about 2 seconds later l felt the need to move it again. After that I just kept wiggling my toes (this was only in one foot) unable to stop. When I stopped, I was able to stop only for a few seconds before feeling like I absolutely needed to move them around again. I couldn't sleep very well, and woke up many times through the night. I also never woke up in the middle of the night or had insomnia before. In fact, I have a scarily deep sleep. When I fall asleep, usually after only 20-30 minutes I could be shook back and forth by someone trying to wake me and I wouldn't wake up right away. I've never had anything like this happen until it instantly started. It wasn't gradually happening. I just got into bed last night after being a cashier at my job for several hours and was on my phone for probably an hour until it suddenly just started. Other information: I'm 16, male, it's not painful, I have an admittedly very unhealthy diet, eating fast food usually at least twice a week as well as drinking a lot of soda. I also however drink plenty of water, orange juice, milk, and eat tons of salads, fruit, vegetables, and more healthy stuff. I have a lot of unhealthy intake but also a lot of healthy intake too and I am incredibly skinny (Like see-my-ribs-in-the-mirror-skinny 😂) I am on the antidepressant Zoloft, as well as Rispertal, and Concerta for mood stabilizaton, and focus help because of my ADHD. I have never done marijuana, or any other drugs other than things prescribed for my ADHD, Mood, Depression, and over the counter stuff for headaches and coughs like Excedrin, Advil, and Delsym. My mothers father had RLS. I'm not allergic to anything as far as I'm aware. I didn't do anything different yesterday than usual. And the last thing I can think of that might be important to add is that I was really tired today, yesterday (the day it started), and the day before, to the point where I slept during a good majority of the days. This isn't really that odd though I don't think because I'm in high school so I'm always sleep deprived. Even before these past few days, I very often would just sleep for up to 4-5 hours in the middle of the day because of how tired I always am, and also because despite not having ever been diagnosed with depression, I'm pretty sure I have it and I spend a lot of my free time laying in bed with no motivation to move so I do nothing but browse on my phone and sleep.
I know I just gave a ton of information so I apologize. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I'm going to bring this up. Just thought I should check with people that actually have RLS so I could see if this is something that anyone else with RLS has, or if it's just leg movement. I can't seem to find anything else online talking about foot movement with RLS but I also can't find anything at all about foot movement. I can just find symptoms of RLS that I seem to have happening just in my left foot and know that the only other thing in my family line that I could think of that would cause this is that my grandpa had RLS. (I would ask him...but unfortunately he passed away from diabetes around a year ago) Thanks to anyone who responds!
