That's really great!
It seems to suit some people but not others.
900mg should be the max effective dose for rls. Though some people are put on much higher regimes and suffer bad side effects.
Good going.
I am one of the lucky people who, like you, find Gabapentin a great help. I actually take 600 three times a day.
Have you found you have gained weight on gabapentin?
600 mg + codeine at night has been great for me. No weight gain or any other side effect apart from dry mouth, which also cleared up over time.
I take 600 at 7:00 pm and 300 at 10:30 and it's helping me a lot too.
I took Gabapentin, 300mg at bedtime, for a year, then it started to be less effective. I stopped when an xRay for possible broken finger after a fall showed bone thinning. A Dexa scan confirmed osteoporosis. While there are possibly other contributing factors, a Google search turned up information that Gabapentin and similar meds can contribute to osteoporosis. I stopped for 6 months but lack of sleep caused a heart arrhythmia so I am back on 300mg. It gives me 4-6 hours of sleep. Doc wanted me to take bisphosphonates for osteoporosis, which I declined after reading about it. But I am taking vitamin k2 and a plant-based calcium supplement, and doing Dr. Fishman's yoga for osteoporosis.
