Has anybody noticed that having a fatty meal at dinner would trigger RLS that night? It seems so to me.

I always know not to eat heavy at night and eat before 6 if I can. I noticed if I eat protein and as healthy as I can I don't have problems at night with my RLS. If I do I have to take more medicine. RLS is just no fun 😔

Cannot say it's food that is triggering. I mean greasy foods.

Mine has been worse on the two days I've had a mince pie in the afternoon. Don't know if there's a connection

If you mean a Christmas mince pie that we eat in the UK, it MIGHT be because its sweet, and sweet foods can for some make RLS worse. If its a shop mince pie look to see what the sugar content says on the box. Now you have made me wanting a mince pie and i make my own for Christmas, and havent done that job yet. :)

I know that if I have fish and chips from the local chippy I'm in for a bad night! I'm sure that greasy food has an effect on my RLS.

My triggers are eating big meals, eating late, spicy food , alcohol, sweets, cakes and potatoes.

As a diabetic I follow a low carb, high fat diet ( most of the time ) and I do find that if I over indulge in carbs, which, of course, are turned into sugar within the body, my rls is worse, oh so much worse! Fat doesn't seem to be a problem though. Maybe there are more carbs in those fatty meals than you think?
