It is an individual thing. What works for me might not work for you. I started on 50mg 2 times a day and ended at 150mg twice a day.

There may be some difficulty getting it as drs are reluctant to prescribe it.

I don't know about the doses as I try to stay away from the opiate based medications because Tramadol is addictive. good luck. blessings. kaye

Are you sure you know what addictive means ,if you think 1 Tramodol is addictive well that's me

It is addictive, but hey, what else can we do? I can go 14-18 hours without it, but need it to sleep. I like my sleep and need it. As long as I don't keep upping the dose, I can live with it. It is the only drug that works for me so far.

It's a hard thing to say I was on 2 Tramodol a day and now on 1 am doing ok 90 percent of the time good luck

Addiction v dependence.

Addiction is where you start needing more of the opiate to get the same relief. Generally not an issue at low rls doses, unless you are an addictive personality. Tolerence is similar- but not at such high levels of drug intake. Addicts will do anything to get the drug and there is no end to the dosage used .

Dependency- where you just continue to need the medication for relief, but don't feel the need to keep increasing it. Dependency is a sign that the opiate is effective- just as crutches are effective in helping the one legged person to walk. He is dependent on them. He is addicted if he goes to bed with them!😅

hi what dose are you on know? I used to take 1x50mg at night + my usual dose of dopamine, but if you read the instructions I think you can take up to 4 a day, don't quote me on that, but I am sure you can take unto 4 you can also take the slow acting tramadol (see your GP) for advice on all meds.

I take three doses of Tramadol between 4PM and 4AM, as needed. It ends up being about 6 hours apart......... and it keeps me asleep that I can get 5-7 hours sleep each night. I don't take them during the day........
