I have a severe pain due to my planters fasciitis and now doctor has suggested me to get a surgery done, but couple of my friends told me not to do it. But the pain id unbearable and i am in constantly in pain.
Was wondering if any one else had a surgery and they are now pain free?

Ultimately, you have to weigh up the arguments rationally. Are they based on real personal experiences or urban myths? What is the surgeons/ hospitals record? How do you feel about the procedure. What are the pitfalls or possible outcomes?
What alternatives do you have? And so on---***😕

According to my doctor we have depleted all the options like steroids, physical therapy and pain medication including several compound medications. So the only option is now a surgery.
My pain doesnt let me think any thing besides that I am in pain. 
On the other hand my RLS doesnt let me rest for few minutes even my other pain tells me to sit for at least few seconds.
Can I ask ur symptoms pls cause iv an undiagnosed pain in my left foot which is causing me trouble tl even walk
Initally pain was started in my heal and lower part of my toe nails and then it shifted to my side walls of both feet. According to my doctor due to pain and tention in my heal I am leaning my feet on side thats why pain is unbearable on side walls. Often i feel burning and shar and stabbing pain in my ankle as well.
Main symptom is that when you wake up in the morning yoh can not gake your girst few steps without limping, you can not dtamd on your toes either. But i guess every one is different. In my opinion you should consult with any podiatrist to find out the reason for your pain.
That sounds similar to me, my pain runs up the centre of my foot sole and sometimes the side, its a real burning pain with shots of stabbing nerve pain, I find as well as first thing in the morning im unable to walk if iv even rested for a short period of time, walking downstairs is scary because my foot is unable to bend to allow me to walk dwn the stairs, iv been given steroid injections and a course of steroid tablets which eased it but caused me insomnia, iv spine problems and this dsnt help the pain in my back, il book an appointment as uv suggested, thank you
I hope you get some relief in your pain and find a true cure. Its not easy to live a life with constant pain in your mind;(
Had surgery two years ago and never suffered pain since, go for it and be pain free..
I had/have planta fascitis but mine is under control using insoles made personally for me by a podiatrist. the doctor didn't know what to do other than painkillers. I guess yours is considerably worse than mine.
Hi design, I had plantar fasciitis, and was told never to go bare foot. That mean,t always putting on slippers or shoes with a small to medium heel. If possible wearing an insert. I could not cope with the insert, but found the advice about always wearing a heeled slipper or shoes invaluable!
I to have suffered from planters fasciitis and have not had the surgery, but in stead get a shot in my heal about every six months and I also wear a type of boot at night that is designed to help relieve the pain and keep it from coming back and after a year and a half and only 2 shots later I am relatively pain free. I'm no doctor but I agree with your friends that surgery is not the answer. My Dr. told me that surgery is only done as a last resort and that it was no guarantee that it wouldn't come back. Now I'm not going to sugarcoat it and say that the shot is easy to take because it is painful to do but after two days there is no more pain and I'm able to walk pain free. You might want to seek out a podiatrist and get a second opinion because everyone's situation is different.
You are right, I am also thinking to get a second opinion on his decision. My problem is he is refusing to give me steroid injection any more and any compound medication doesnt work on me. So i will have to seriously think about other alternatives before going for surgery.
