...sometimes I just feel like there is something inside my legs that is alive and moving....and it's getting worse. Not only in the evening now but through the entire day. I'm going crazy and feel like I don't know how much more I can take.
Do you ever feel this way?: ... - Restless Legs Syn...
Do you ever feel this way?
Yeah I completely get where you are coming from. I remember years ago, decades actually that I had thought among other things there was a bug that had somehow burrowed in and that there could be growths that were pressing on other parts that were causing the urge to move/pain.
Now I just think that there is a malevolent God somewhere that I managed to piss off in a previous incarnation who has a voodoo doll of me and when he gets bored he 'plays' with the doll
Are you getting any help for the RLS? What about family support, can you tell them how you feel?
In my opinion the vast majority of people cannot even comprehend what we are going through and its insulting to listen to them compare my RLS, (that goes all over my body at this stage and has driven me to wish for death on numerous occasions) to their urge to get out and stretch their legs after a long car journey!
My wife on the other hand knows exactly the extent of it all and it can be great just to dump all my annoyances, frustrations and angers on her when the pressure gets too much so if you have an other half can you talk, (just maybe not after a night spent kicking them round the bed ).
Take care
Hi raffs and 3420 , raffs is pretty well on the mark you definitely need to be able to talk to someone like family or hopefully an understanding Dr you don't mention any meds you might be taking ? ,if nothing that is a must you can't manage this without some sort of meds if you have a look at some of the old posts you'll find there's a lot of help there some natural meds some are trying ,like magnesium ,and a lot of different meds from the Dr if something doesn't work they should HOPEFULLY be able to find something that does ,,good luck keep in touch
I am the same, just had an awful week of very little sleep. I feel like the inside of my thighs and upper arms are full of molten lava. Moving around and burning hot. Feel the docs not taking me seriously. My partner says that even when I am asleep my legs and arms still move. I can cope with the pain it's the movement that distresses me. Nice to talk to other people who can understand
Hi, i just joined this forum and made my first post this evening. I made the statement that I feel like something creepy is inside me... I too am getting a bit scared of how long I can take this. It is getting worse. One Norco (10mg vicodin) gets me through the night. My doc supports it. The medical world knows that narcotics suppress the creepy feeling, but are reticent to prescribe it. Probably 10 years ago while up in the middle of the night in a chat room I learned that vicodin helped dramatically. And it DOES. However, mine is getting worse and I'm scared because I don't want to have to keep upping the dose. One doc told me he had a patient who was up to 10 pills a day for it....I think he was trying to discourage me and get me to use gabapentin (which I hated!!!) I read that some studies are being done to understand this neurological condition. Let's hope it happens fast!!!
