Yes alcohol blocks the Dopamine receptors so can trigger RLS. One drink will set mine off so just not worth it! Glad you are doing well x

Yes, most medications will say on instructions: Do not drink alcohol.

Yes, I found this with alcohol too - - -. So I just stopped. It was surprisingly easy! I guess the RLS misery far outweighs the benefit (?) of drinking. It has all sorts of other advantages too, both health and financial.

I never thought I would be saying this a few years ago - - -.

I can get away with one pint, it helps me get to sleep (Tramadol keeps me awake). There has to be some pleasures left!

Hi. Not being a drinker I wouldn't know ,but try not to drink next time & see if the same thing happens. That should be a good indication as to why it happened.

God luck .

If I touch alcohol my legs go crazy - I used to enjoy a regular drink, (went out every week) but now between RLS preventing me from drinking and ME preventing me from going out I am very limited in my vices :)

Yes I think drink upsets my legs to,I went on Tramodol 12 months ago and havnt touched it since,I also think sugar things don't help, when you are having a bad night and havnt had drink or sweet things it makes you wonder should I ,

Yes I think so Frances. I also take ropinirole and a co codamol at bed time.

Alcohol does affect tablets. I weigh up alcohol or tablets? for a special occasion.

I do splash out now and again.
