In my experience, I'd say it does. Horrible day = horrible night. I know that the chemicals released under stress affect your body in lots of ways, weight gain being one of them. (Cortisol??)

Personally stress makes no difference to my RLS but I have heard many say its worse when under stress

Both stress and lack of sleep. But it may be when stressed out or tired RLS just seems worse. Either way you feel the same.

I agree with jmwe29 and stress certainly worsens mine.

Definitely! I've had RLS all my life and have always found if I'm under stress my RLS gets worse. I've also found there is a link to my body's monthly cycle - circadian rhythm I believe it's officially called. I guess it's all down to fluctuations in brain chemistry which can be triggered by many things, stress being one of them.
