Hi wolverine, you are doing a great job for your wife. !! Both of those meds the ropinerole and the gabapentin can make people sleepy. Have you checked the leaflet for the side effects that some people can get from those meds. ? Can you say what the dosage are for those two meds. ?

You have my sympathy. I am the sufferer and she is sympathetic to the point of real concern. I sleep the few hours I do sleep in a recliner with a travel collar around my neck to keep me from jerking awake. I need something to distract me so I sleep with music playing into earphones. They are the only place the music comes to so the music is not disturbing her. I keep the sound low, just like background music.

My fitbit says I get about 5 hours total sleep that way and the jumping is minimized by the use of requip and gabapentin along with a 5/300 vicodin at bed time. My neurologist say my doses are so big I should be unconscious for 20 of the 24 hours, but I am awake and kicking, 20 of those hours that I should be passed out.
