Neuropro and weight gain

Has anyone else gained weight while on Nueropro?

Hi,yes I always gain weight on the dopamine meds and unfortunately Neupro patch is no exception!Not gained alot though only around 6 pounds and I have been on it for about a year,some of it I think is fluid retention as my fingers swell ..Pipps

I gained 60 pounds "overnight" on Gabapentin. Also made me TOO foggy.

I'm so hungry all the time as well I've gained about 15lbs

I think all the dopamine meds cause weight gain. I have been on most of them over the last 8 years, and have gained at least 60 pounds! In all fairness, some of that relates to some middle of the night comfort foods, but mostly I blame it on the meds.

What a dilemma- no sleep or unsightly fat!

Thanks for the insight. I thought it was the buffets and sweets that I indulged in.

Landman, I took Gabapentin for a very short time because I gained 25 lbs. in a month and a half and couldn't understand what was causing the gain till I started reading more about the side effects of the Gabapentin. Weight gain was the basic number ONE BIG problem

I have been on the Neupro patch for over 2 years (4mg). I have gained about 15lbs, not sure if it's from the patch, or just nervous eating. The patch only gives me 18 hours of relief, nowhere near 24hrs, so I find myself eating to distract myself from the creepy crawly sensations. It doesn't work, but what else can a person do?
