I’ve been on Horizant for 3 months and I have not gained weight. However, it is important to exercise and watch your food intake.

I experienced a large gain in weight when I was on pregabalin.

I have been taking it for four months and have not gained weight nor had any other significant side effects. And it helps my RLS.

I’ve been on it 9/10 months and have not put on weight, outside of normal fluctuations but I have been careful about what I eat ( trying to sort out triggers) . Still the first six month of Horizant and I ate normally but healthily and no weight gain.

I’ve been on 1500mg of horizant for over 3 years. I’m pretty sure I started taking it May 2017. My experience on horizant has been good and not so good. I don’t know if it was horizant or the plethora of the other drugs in my shot glass. 😂 I did gain 100lbs over a year long recovery period. Four months of that I was in a hospital bed in my room. I’ve had so many side effects (mostly mental and my speech) but I’ve pushed through. Today and yesterday has been horrible pain days!

Has anyone had speech problems?

I will try and answer any questions you may have as it looks like everyone that posted are kinda new to horizant.

Thanks in advance!

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through! Keep pushing the doctors for the right help!

Yes, I am new to Horizant. So far I don't notice much other than the slight imbalance I feel in the middle of the night or in the morning-but nothing crazy. Yet!

I would say, for your question-do post it separately and not here on this thread. There are plenty of other long time users and most won't see your post unless you start a new one. You should get plenty of good info that way.

Best of luck and hang in!

Thanks so much! I will definitely repost it to a question of its own. Thanks for the advice. I’ve never used this site before. Never knew it was a thing actually. Thanks again!

This site is a complete lifesaver, as you will see! I know-I just stumbled across it myself one day.

You're quite welcome-we all try to pay it forward on here!

Well I don’t really have restless leg. What I do have is a big mess in my cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine. Yep! That’s the entire thing! But it couldn’t just stop with the spine. The nerve damage I have in my thoracic sends shockwaves through it like a red hot fireplace poker is jabbing straight through it burning everything in site! The lumbar is a wreck with metal, cages, batteries and wires that shoot nerve pain down my right leg wishing it would just fall off. It used to go numb to my knee now it does that plus sends tinglings to my toes now. My left side has never bothered me much but I guess it got tired of no attention so it is now sending sharp pain unlike the right side down my left butt cheek. It’s a good thing I’m not suicidal let me tell you because there are days where I have just begged God to take me home. This too shall pass He tells me. It would be nice if He would say when! 😂

Omg-that is just terrible. I hope you seeing the best doctors on the planet-even if that means you have travel and pay yourself.Horizant is for RLS so you would post that here. But this site is for all health concerns so you can also find others dealing with your situation.

Be sure to do TWO posts then! In each department!
