Do you take tramadol? My sister have this when she was on tramadol x
I have heard that restless legs can be linked to low iron, low iron can mean itchy skin. Just a thought!
All narcotic based med can and does cause itching all over. There are many anti itch creamss with the same thing in them. Lidocane, novacaine or anything that ends in cane is a small amount of cocane modified and does stop itching.
You are right there. On morphine I itch all over it drives you mad, especially my nose!
Sounds like an allergic reaction. You may become allergic to meds. I used to take all sorts of meds never had an allergy now I have many. Hope this helps sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi
You need to get a good prescription lotion for your entire body.. I had some of that going on while in the hospital.. I was given a lactic acid lotion.. my gosh it did the trick and I never had smoother, softer skin.. the smell is not fantastic..but it worked for me and many patients who have very itchy dry skin.. Please talk to your doctor.. there are a few different formulas that might meet your needs.
Thank you all for your replies x
Take a good look at all of the medications you are on. I saw that you have something called irritable bladder, which I have, only my doctor told me it is called interstitial cystitis. Doctors will very often prescribe tricyclic antidepressants for this condition, or antihistamines. Both of these medications can trigger RLS symptoms or make them more severe. There are numerous other medications that can trigger RLS symptoms in those susceptible to the condition. Make sure you are not taking any of these or if you must take one of these medications, try to find an RLS friendly version of it.
