Beady, hope you're sleeping. I'm shutting down the computer for the next 8 hours. The latest news on the RLS front is music thanks to Golf Lady. Try listening to some music in bed. You'll hear from Pippin before I do. If she had any luck with iron gluconate, try that. Try lying on a slant board - with feet higher than head. If you're constipated...don't be (sorry for the directness). No dairy, no tea, no grains, no fun, I know, but do it. Dig deep, really deep. What do you sense is causing your RLS? Can it be allergies due to pets in your house or smoke? Are you taking any of the "anti" drugs. Antihistamines, antidepressants, antacids or statins or melatonin. Can you NOT take them? Try taking b12 and methylfolate (not folic acid) for a while and maybe magnesium and vitamin d. They don't give immediate relief like the others I mentioned but are well worth a try if you have the patience and money.

Don't go mad, we have answers and treatments other than the drugs you take which seemingly aren't helping at the moment. One of the other treatments will work for you, I just know it.

Some of what you have suggested are good ideas to try. But, allergies are not a cause of RLS, only taking allergy remedies can be a trigger for RLS.

Hi Beady, no I was asleep! ? As I put in message if ropinerole isnt working after 8 weeks it wont work at all so I would change to mirapex or neupro patch or stromg painkillers. Dont let your GP up the dose of ropinerole you are already over the maximum recommended dose, Good luck x

I go to see neuro next Tuesday for first time x

Beady, if the Ropinerole isnt working then as p1pp1ns has said you need to change that med. There are other meds to try, so dont give up. Try the Neupro Patch or Mirapex (Pramipexole) first to see if one of those suits you better. If those fail, then its usual to go down the pain med route. Most people are given Tramadol first and alot of people get good relief from them if you can take strong pain meds.

Not what you're looking for?
