Hi please go to rlshelp.org..there is a treatment page which covers all the various drugs..usually one has to try a few drugs first as everyone seems to react differently..the dopamine agonists help me greatly i.e. requip and mirapex..tramadol is also a godsend

Orphenadrine is in the same class of antihistmines and anticholinerngic meds and axct similarly to Diphendydramine, Strongly suggest you look up what this class of med can do to trigger off your RLS. It could be your meds making it worse. DO see the list of Foods and Drugs to Avoid on the treatment page on rlshelp.org It is a must read of all RLSer's.

After reading up on that drug.. I see that it has more uses

than just for hay fever/seasonal allergies. I see that it's used

as a pain reliever/muscle spasms. It's not really a narcotic..

One of the side effects of the medication is that it can keep you

awake at night. Insomnia is reported as the most common side

effect. Excitement is another common side effect.

Sounds like a drug that is in the parkinson's disease family

so I would think that it would do pretty much the same thing

as my pramipexole medicine does but it has pain properties..

wow.. that's interesting. =))).

rlshelp.org is the best website. The information on that

site is very trusted and it's well established. I have printed out

copies of the drug lists (parts of it) to bring to all of my doctors

so that these kinds of drugs are avoided if at all possible.

Doctors are incredibly smart but they can't know every single

thing about RLS.. just think of what they have to deal with

and how many conditions they have to deal with.. =)

I know that feeling!. Sometimes feel like chopping my legs but after taking Laminine all the problem stopped. I sleep better now. Laminine is a supplement not a painkiller. Why not give it a try. :)
