loving the songs jillygirl Thankyou ππΊπ»ππΆxxxxx

Well, jillygirl - now, this is just my personal opinion, mind - this was a nice blend of the sublime and the ridiculous! π
You know, I made myself a promise, decades ago, that I would never again listen to Mouldy Old Dough, and I've kept that promise!
And I tried, I really tried, believe me, to give Go, Jimmy Go a hearing but I just couldn't bear it for more than 30 seconds. (I do hope that Jimmy Clanton's not one of your all-time favourites, is he?)π
But - and I'm not in the least superstitious - Heartaches By The Number, which I haven't heard since forever, as I don't listen to the radio stations that play this kind of music, has been rattling around in my head for the last few days (no kidding!), and then here it is, popping up in your selection. I enjoyed it very much - it's not at all bad for that pre-Elvis pop that was so prevalent in the early to mid-fifties.
And I've always felt that Poetry In Motion was just about the most perfect example of that same genre - a bit schmaltzy, obvs., but I was singing along, giving those ah-woah-woah-woahs full value!
However, my own absolute favourite of the genre and period, is Little Darlin' by the Diamonds (please join me in the bop showaddywaddys):
Thanks for that Lifeisacabaret. I dont play my favourites as I try and vary them as everyone has different taste, Love Little Darlin.
I ask for requests but still not found Far Away π€£π€£π€£
Keep on singing. and dancing. πΆπΆπΆππΊπΆxx
I keep saying one of my favourites when you put songs on here jillygirl π I just love them all from old to new . . .i will say to my children when a song comes on oh I love this song one of my favourites they reply with you say this to every song π€πππ€£ Iβm guessing I just love music ππππΊπ»πΆxxxxx

I expected that was the case, jillygirl...I was just trying to make you laugh! So glad to hear you like Little Darlin', too!
I can hardly help myself in reacting to all these songs, no matter the era or the genre, because they all somehow mean something to me. Please, keep 'em coming and don't mind me! π₯°
Can I just say, I get requests for that identical, extremely remote number whenever I start singing along - isn't that too spooky a coincidence? π€£π€£π€£
