I have completed 1 week smoke free and I am now feeling more tired than ever and I am getting headaches. Can anyone let me know how long this will last as I want to keep going and succeed in my new quest to be smoke free.
Sometimes knowing an end is in sight can be a real motivator.

Hi soozey and welcome π One week quit is fantastic π
Your suffering withdrawal symptoms and it will end but I can't tell you how long they will last...... No two quits are the same unfortunately but it's just your bodies way of getting rid of the crap we have sucked into us....
Please have a good mooch round especially the pinned posts as there is sooo much information you can tap into.
Keep this site nice and close and remember NOPE.... Not One Puff Ever πππππππ
congratulations on yourfirst week of being smoke free ππ This truly is the best thing you can do for your health.
Like droopy said, no two quits are the same so it is difficult to put any time frames on symptoms of recovery.
A lot of people say the first 4 weeks are the worst..drink plenty of water as this helps flush out the toxins from cigarettesππ
We have to be patient as our bodies recover..even though it is tough at the moment, it is so worth it ππ
Can you let us know your quit date so we can add you to the wall of winners.
Do take a look at the pinned posts as there is a lot of I for on What to expect as your body recovers ππ
All the very best of luck on your quit journey ππππ
Linda
Hey Soozey,
I was exhausted and I had headaches not to mention other withdrawal symptoms .... But they all go away ... Sometimes quickly ... Sometimes not so quickly ... Everyone is Different..... I'm just now free of withdrawal symptoms and dependence after almost 6 months.... But we have people on this site who are free after one month!!!!!!
You're doing amazing !!! The first week and month is the hardest... Are you cold turkey or NRT ... Either way is goodπ
You're doing awesome. Time flys on this site. Before you know it, you'll be collecting badges as the months go by and you're already an asset to our quit support family.. Thankyou for your sharing Best wishes from Canada πΉ
The first week is the hardest so well done on getting through thatππΌ
Believe there definitely is light at the end of the tunnel and your determination will get you through the tough times. At the moment your body is in shock but please be patient as it takes a while to settle down. Hang in there for better days ahead, you can do it. Stay positive and you'll get thereπ
Hi snoozey . 1 week that's fantastic. Your in your hardest weeks, believe me it will get better, everyone is different so impossible to say. Keep strong your hardest week is over, there is light at the end of the tunnel, for me the tiredness and headaches lifted after 3 weeks, but have known others sooner and others later. Just keep saying to yourself you will get through this and you will . Look around on the site lots of useful info to help you , and if your feeling down just come on hear for a chat, lots of lovely people to support you. X
