Well done Cimmy on 11 weeks quitππππΎ fantasticππΌ
Sorry to hear about your friend, sounds like a very difficult week for you. Luvin your positive approach through it all. Gluten and dairy freeβΉοΈbut the good thing is there's lots of alternatives around in most supermarkets nowππΌ so hope you're going to feel the benefits of your new diet soon. Good on ya hunπ
Sorry to hear about your friend that is no age it's frightening. And your new diet.... It is what it is just one more thing to suck up and get on with it. It could be worse. Well done 11 weeks no way u can go back now take care π
I admire your determination .. hang in there!!!!!
Thank you Dunn........no going back for meππππππ
Dunn I have asked many people this ? especially who r further along than me. First off how long did u smoke for and the amount. second did u get side effects from quitting and what were they. final and most important to me is when did the side effects go away what week or month. Anxiously waiting
I smoked 40+ years and pretty much experienced all the most common side effects as everyone else... for the first several weeks. However, each of us is a different person, with a different health history and different metabolism, etc. -- so how long any particular symptom lasts or its intensity will be an individual experience. Sorry if I sound a little vague but in a real sense we are comparing apples to oranges.
11 weeks cimmy - that is just sensational
sorry to hear about the sad loss of your friend times likes this does test us and look at you..passed with flying colours
Gluten and dairy free is going to take some getting used too..Check out all the paleo recipies..there are some really great ones. I too am gluten free and find this rather easy..not so sure about the dairy though.. i go lactose free that is as close as i get
On the upside - since starting this a few months back I really do feel a whole lot better. If you want to chat further on this, just message me

Well done you on not lighting that fag. I'm sorry that you have had such a tough week, but if you had smoked it would not have changed the weeks outcome.. It would only have sucked you back into being a full time smoker. Life can be soo tough. Keep up the good work and stay strong
Hi Richella.......Thank you and you've hit the nail on the headπ Lighting up wouldn't of changed the outcome, but I was sooooo close it scared meπ³But I didntπͺπͺπͺ......If anything last week made me feel stronger and in control. Thank you for your support....πΉπΉπΉπΉπΉ
Hey Cimmy,
after reading about your good efforts, I came across your 3 C's;
1) Congratulations: on reaching 11 weeks - that's nearly a full quarter of a year
2) Control: this is what you have taken and this is how you have managed to head in the right direction
3) Conquer: this is most definitely what you are doing!
Well done to you and thank you for sharing your success
Hi Emjay.......Thankyou for my 3 C's, and yes I'm seem to be conquering this demon, but trust me I do it day by dayπ₯π₯ that is the only way forward for me. Control....well its the only thing I can control and that to is on a day to day basis.....but all said and done I do feel proud and thankful for my Lovley quit familyπππππ because without you lot it could of been a whole different storyπΉπΉπΉπΉNOPE NOPE NOPE. πππππ
