is it hard to quit? my dad tried to but recently started again.. not sure what I can do to help him. can I get some advice please

Hi and welcome to the site. First of all is your dad using any nicotine replacemnt products or going cold turkey.?

There is a lot of help once we know how he has tried in the past, plus how many cigarettes did he smoke a day. Emjay our advisor will be on site soon and should be able to help. Dont give up on him, he can do it with support.

I'm sure your dad tried very very hard not to smoke but it can be quite hard to give up.Maybe if you had a word with him & told him how worried you were that he'd started smoking again and showed him this site he MIGHT be able to try again.Or maybe have a word with your mum & ask her what she thinks you can do to help she might come up with something.TRY not to get too worried but maybe see if you can talk to your dad.I think he's very lucky to have such a caring son/daughter.
