My Mom keeps snezzing but only when eatting?
One of my daughter's just brought this up about her paternal grandmother; that she would begin a "sneezing fit", but only while eating, or immediately after she ate. She would repeatedly sneeze a number of times & it became an endearing characteristic about her.
This started in her 70's and continued into her 80's when she became unwell & suffered from severe dementia until she passed. As to an cause or explanation? I have no idea but to let you know there was at least one other person out there who did the same thing.

The most common cause for sneezing during or after eating that I'm aware of would be an allergic reaction in response to a particular food item or ingredient . Among the more common food allergens are dairy products , wheat , tomatoes, eggs , peanuts , soy, etc... These allergens are also often "hidden" as ingredients in foods that we're not allergic to so the best way to definitively find out if there are allergies present , is to see an allergist and have simple skin tests done for the most common allergens. Probably more often than not, people go through life without ever bothering to find out because their reactions are thankfully minor, such as having a sneezing episode during or after eating. Hope that this info might be of help.
My mother sneezes a long, deep sneeze most often during breakfast time. I have always thought it was a brain stem sneeze, one that is done involuntarily to clear food from her throat. When she sneezes her shoulders go up, her face contorts, and the sneeze is forceful. It isn't a sneeze that I would make, one that comes quickly. Interesting question!
what about the smell of the food ?
