can NHS help

Oh dear Thrasher, sad to say probably minimally assistance because, due to its rarity and difficulty in identifying, PSP is beyond the wit and expertise of most NHS doctors and GPs.
I wish you all the good luck.

Hi Thrasher,
If you're asking whether you will be entitled to NHS treatment and Social Services support these links might be helpful

Hi Thrasher,
I'm a South African; my husband is English and has been diagnosed with PSP. He left the UK over 20 years ago. We've just arrived in the UK at the beginning of December (I was seconded here for work), and are in the stages of registering with a GP to try and access care on the NHS for him. I don't have a definitive answer to your question yet, but I'll post an update on our progress over the next few weeks, if you think that'll help.

Just an update - we have managed to re-register my husband on the NHS without too much trouble. The GP tracked down his old NHS number and we're back in the system. I think your ease of getting back on the NHS may depend on which GP you see, and how helpful they are, but we haven't had any problems at all.
If you need more info or details, let me know.
Good luck!
