Hypnotherapy

Hi SaintsandHawks
Sorry to hear PSP has found you and I hope we can offer some help along your journey.
I cannot refer to any specific outcomes of hypnotherapy though I think it would be worth a try.
Regarding the gait freezing, my husband benefitted for a time from floor strips, as suggested by Parkinson’s UK

Hi there , we have no experience of hypnotherapy but my mum was a round dancer and we found repeating ‘forward two step’ (a dance move) often released her over the most tricky bathroom door threshold. Perhaps a chant of some sort may help?
Like others we have no experience of hypnotherapy and floor stripes wouldn't work as my husband doesn't look down. We try a things like saying 1, 2, 3 up for rising from seated and left foot right foot on repeat for all walking with walker and that seems to help. Whilst it's mainly the carer that says this in a singsong type voice my husband does mouth it. It may be worth trying, as the more you practice and repeat the more it becomes the norm.
