We have Tim Brown (Daddyt on this site) to thank – he has done so much with his PSP Chronicles books and his Ice Cream Challenge and he recorded his original version some time ago. I then foolishly said I would give it a go….
The main thing is that Ruth and I had fun doing it. The two daughters are doing a half marathon in May to raise money for PSPA and I thought this might help. But notice how they are too embarrassed to appear on video with their father!
Hope it brings a smile to your face – something we all need on this long hard journey….
There is absolutely no need to donate – we all have more than enough on our hands. But if you do if only to prevent a repeat performance the link is justgiving.com/page/couch-21k
Love to you all,
Richard🙂

Thank you Richard. It brought a smile to my face. So glad that you and Ruth enjoyed doing it. I think Tim is an inspiration to everyone so I agree with you. All the best AliBee x
My husband enjoyed it too - tried to sing along even if he didn't know the words or the melody - I think he was especially impressed with the girls' singing - do thank them from him. 😃
I will thank them. But really I think they could have made more of an effort in joining in! 🤣🤣 All credit to Roxy - she did a great job editing it. These young people so clever!
You killed it, Richard. Absolutely LOVE IT! Ruth was wonderful and your girls as background vocals. I could respond to your message... somehow I lost my account? To you as well Sarah.
I am sorry it took so long. But it is managing to raise a smile (and a bit of money). Everybody praises the lyrics - obviously like the original song a bit sad despite the rousing tune (or slighty out of tune.....). Thank you so much for sending them to me.
Wonderful ! Thank you for doing this. Ruth certainly enjoyed it.I had a big smile and then I was in tears watching Ruth's expression which reminded me of my husband's own. Wasn't expecting that.
Anyway good luck to your daughters for the marathon. God bless you all. 🙏
It is such horrible disease and you know first hand that we are fighting a losing battle sadly. It was good to make Ruth laugh and even better if it can raise a smile with others at my pretty tuneless performance!
Hi Richard. There's nothing strange about that. The Tillard Four is an undiscovered talent waiting in the wings. You need more air time. Symptoms By The Numbers gained much traction when the PSPA used it on Worldwide Rare Disease Day in 2022. It's autumn here, too, and there is a great opportunity on those long nights to stretch that beer to three. For myself, I've experienced more progression, but I'm still ahead of the disease and still advocating for PSP-CBD awareness. Stay tuned... and not just your guitar. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge will be just a splash compared to the wave of PSP-CBD awareness coming soon.
Sorry to hear things are progressing.....It is amazing what you are achieving while being dogged by this disease. I will check out that song - not one I know. Carry on all this great work you are doing - we just need our Ice Bucket moment to get the word out there.!!! Richard 🙂
Remember when I said, 'Stay tuned?' We're about to make waves for PSP-CBD awareness.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Coleen Cunningham Foundation (CCF) Launches Global $10,000 Monthly AdWords Campaign to Boost PSP Awareness
October 15, 2024 - The Coleen Cunningham Foundation (CCF) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a worldwide digital awareness campaign for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), thanks to a generous Google AdWords grant providing $10,000 per month. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the fight against PSP, a rare neurodegenerative disorder currently lacking effective treatments or a cure.
With the campaign in its final stages of development, we are poised to bring unprecedented visibility to PSP. This campaign aims to educate the public, foster a global community of support, and drive research for those affected by PSP and related diseases.
A Collaborative Effort
This pivotal campaign has been made possible through the dedication of CCF’s Advocacy Committee, with heartfelt thanks to Tim, Peter, Rachel, Bhavana, Kate, and Laura. Their commitment to increasing awareness and research for PSP has been the backbone of this project.
Special gratitude is extended to Megan and Sara from Prosperwell in the UK, who have volunteered their time and expertise in digital marketing to set up our Google AdWords campaigns. Their invaluable guidance ensures we maximize the reach and impact of this initiative.
Goals of the Campaign
- Raise Awareness: By utilizing Google's extensive network, our goal is to put PSP on the map, enhancing understanding of this condition, its impact, and the urgent need for research.
- Encourage Research: We anticipate that this increased awareness will lead to greater interest and funding for research into treatments and, ultimately, a cure for PSP.
- Support and Community: To offer those affected by PSP a sense of community through increased online visibility and engagement, providing resources, support, and respite care options.
Looking Forward
The Coleen Cunningham Foundation is optimistic that this campaign will represent a turning point for PSP awareness and research. We believe that through increased digital presence, we can accelerate the journey towards finding effective treatments and a potential cure.
Stay tuned for the official launch date of the campaign, and join us in our mission to spotlight PSP. Together, we can make a profound difference.

It's more than just me Richard. Now, about that video... We would love to see something from you, Ruth, and the girls, if you like. It doesn't involve singing😆Here's the link - healthunlocked.com/redirect... Check out Faces and Voices in the top banner for a sample video. PS... I think you can nail Symptoms By the Numbers, a parody of Heartaches by the Numbers😉
