My Dad took his last breath yesterday after a death rattle that lasted around 2 hrs. I was near him when he was rattling . The sound was very scary though we are finally at peace that he is freed from all the sufferings he endured during this battle with PSP. Thanks everyone on this wonderful forum . I only joined a month back and posted few questions. It educated me and prepared me to get through his final stage without any last minute craziness. Finally he died naturally without any medication with the sparkle in his eyes . 🙏

Thinking of you and your family at this sad time Dpriy. Your dad is now at peace. May your memories of good times soon outnumber those of recent months.
Dear Dpriy. I recently lost my wife to this terrible disease so I know exactly the mental torment you are going through. All I can say is stay strong and think of what your dad would have wanted. Deepest condolences from my family to yours.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He must have been very proud of you. I bet you helped keep the sparkles in his eyes. Peace and love to you and your family.
Sending lots of love your way on the loss of your lovely dad. Take care of yourself through this new journey, at least he's at peace now and you were with him and got to see his sparkle right til the end xx
wishing you and your family my deepest condolences. I don’t know (don’t think you can know until it’s over) where my husband is in this cruel and depleting journey, but I hope when you and your family think of him you’ll remember good times and not all the heartache and trauma this disease puts us and our loved ones through. I haven’t read your prior posts, but if your mom was able to keep him home and tend to him through the entirety of the disease, she’s a treasure beyond words. Peace to you and all who love him.
warm hugs to you DB201. Your words about my mom is absolutely true. She took care of him with utmost dedication. I joined them during the last stages after his covid early his year.Yes his entire journey was at home.We would have not got through the final stage of this horrendous disease without the knowledge and support we received from this wonderful forum. I browse thru the old posts which is a treasure trove of information.I hope whoever undergoes this trauma find this forum at the right time.
