We’re planning another Research Information Day in February 2023 and we need your input.

We already have a number of fantastic clinicians and researchers lined up to talk to you about their work, and we’d like to know if you'd like the event to run on one day (across five hours) or two shorter days (across two and a half hours each day).

Please help us plan our 2023 Research Information Day by sharing your preference in the comments.

Hi, it would be nice if you could explain a little more about these research and information days for us that are fairly new here.

Hi Zerachiel,

It like an online conference day. We have speakers - clinicians and researchers - who will share details of their work so everyone has a better understanding of what is going on research wise.

Hello,

Super idea to have a research day. A day sounds fine - hopefully sessions can be recorded so we can access when suits.

Thanks

Pauline

Hi Pauline,

Yes it will be recorded again so you will be able to watch it back.

I think either option will work. Sometimes it's easier to dedicate one day but it's probably easier to take in with smaller chunks over two. I like what others said about having it available as a recording and then people can do whatever option suits them best although limits the ability to interact with the researchers.

One day, please. My daughter works and it’s easier to schedule, even tho all that information in one day can be tiring. Longer lunch break allowed us to enjoy lunch and get ready for the next session.

One thing I’d ask your experts to do is talk about their subject in lay terms rather than researcher-speech. I was lost on some topics that could have used terms like “A”, “B” and “C” rather than the six syllable researchers’ terms.

Thanks for asking.
