Does anyone have recommendations for diapers? We're using Tena XL, she makes it through the night but occasionally leaks when sitting down. She gets changed regularly

They are not foolproof.....I too change my husband's pants every few hours. There was some discussion earlier with some very useful suggestions. Use the search box and good luck.

If you're in the UK then you can get referred to the incontinence nurse. They will do a home assessment and provide nappies that are suitable for her. My Mum started with nappies when she started to have incontinence issues. Unfortunately over time they were not suitable and a catheter was needed.

Thank you for your reply, she is in UK and does get diapers but only for one a day they said so we buy more for her. If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to change from diapers to catheter? Was it recommended? She's been using them for some time now but has more and more accidents.

It got to the stage that Mum would be totally soaked, the diapers were just not helping anymore,, my Mum had lost totally control. My husband is a doctor and he said it was time now to have a catheter. The catheter made it so much easier for my Mum and gave her, her dignity back. It is very important to maintain hygiene if a catheter is put in to avoid infection. I hope this helps.

We use seni brand

Definitely try and get a referral to an incontinence nurse. Support varies in the UK, my Mum was able to get pads "prescribed", my mother-in-law's health authority won't prescribe them.We used a brand "Moliform" which were provided by Hartmann - they deliver.

Mum had pads with fix pants for the day and nappie style pads at night. They were fine as long as they didn't get a sudden surge of wee, then sometimes it was too much for them to handle in one go. Regular changing is key, don't wait for the pad to be full.
