Hope you are all keeping well.

I haven’t been on here for a while. To be honest I have been suffering with dreadful fatigue and struggle to do the simplest chores. The weakness in my arms and legs both sides has been a nightmare. I have lost a lot of mobility in my left hand and I now think it’s affecting my right hand .My consultant has done a few blood tests hoping something shows that he can deal with but so far most results have come back negative

He is cutting back the dosage of sinemet to see will that help with the fatigue. ?

Today is one of the worst days I’ve had . I was going to try to go to the shops but know I can barely walk to the car .

Thanks for the rant

It’s good to rant. My mum has CBD and I have been with her throughout her CBD journey (along with my dad and siblings). I recognise this stage from my experience with mum. Keep doing as many of the things you enjoy, even though they may be more challenging. Keep moving as much as you can, even if it’s only a little bit on the bad days. See friends and family as much as you can and have great conversation and fresh air. Eat as healthy as you can and enjoy lots of water. Vitamin D may be worth thinking about. When you are tired, rest and allow your body to. Try to use the precious energy you have to do the fun things. My dad soon had to take over the chores so mum could use her energy for the fun things. Hoping you have this support too. Take care of yourself.

Dear Maria, I am not sure if this is the case with you, but my husband has PSP and he was given a dopamine drug which didn’t do anything but made him tired and sleepy. The consultant then stopped it altogether and it made a difference in his daily life. As the doctor is cutting down the dosage maybe you will feel better. I hope things will improve for you.

Maria,

Poor you. My wife Ruth with CBD is only 62 and it is a brutal disease. She never responded to Sinemet and I do not think CBD sufferers really benefit from it from what I read here. So I would not worry about giving it up.

The only thing I would recommend in some kind of SSRI anti-depressant. Ruth is on 100mg Sertraline and I think it makes life a happier place for her without any side-effects.

Anyway you sound like you are doing really well to do all you do achieve. It is really impressive.

👍Richard
