So, yea, I'm home now, resting after a little R&R at Grand River Hospital. Bad Thing - had a mild stroke last Wednesday - no permanent damage. Right side is a little weaker. Good Thing - more nursing and other medical staff now know more about PSP - progressive supranuclear palsy than ever before. Never one to miss an opportunity to raise awareness, my work continues. Still feel a little loopy, don't be offended if I don't respond quickly, or at all.

Hi TimI was so sorry to hear about your stroke but glad that you are at home and sort of ok. Good on you spreading the info. Take care and behave. Big hug. AliBee xx
Big hugs, Tim! Hope recovery goes well and leaves no compounding effects. Take care and keep on keeping on! Take opportunity to have a bit more rest and respite. And enjoy the icecream.
Sending you a big hug and hope you feel better soon. Well done for continuing to raise awareness- you have really motivated me and I am thinking of writing a book about the experience Steve and I had trying to get married as he was stuck in hospital. I can’t believe that he has been gone for over 2 years now and I am still finding it so hard. But then I read of your positivity and it is uplifting.Take care love Sarahxxx
Sarah l do hope you find the time to write your book... personally l would love to see your wedding photo on the cover. What a Triumphant Day it was for You Both! Sending Hugs... Granni B
Sorry to hear of your recent woes but what a star you are Tim, taking every opportunity and always making the best of things. I hope your recovery continues well.Love, strength & many virtual hugs coming your way. xxx
Glad to know there was some good news sprinkled in with the bad news. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during your PSP Classes and Conferences. Professor Daddy T you are doing an excellent job... there is so much information to share with the world! Winter is a good time to rest & recover from the stroke and look forward to spending time in your garden sooooon. Sending Hugs... Granni B
Oh Daddy I'm sorry but reading your post I realize how much you do and have done for all of us! Keep going and know that you are creating a legacy for your family, the PSP family and everyone who you help to know and understand this "special" disease because.....you are special in every way!
Tim, scary stuff for sure! So happy to hear that you're home and recovering. Winter is a good time to sit inside, watch the snow fall and just get stronger!!
Poor you - as if you did not have enough to deal with. Still you are a tough lot - you who live in those blooming icy climes. (If we get more than a mild frost we all start pissing and crying down in the south of England. To be fair northern UK types have a bit more spunk about them!)Richard
I was thinking that it would be nice to live in a warm country with no cold winters. But the payback we realised is that those same places always have nasty things trying to bite or sting you to death. You can't win!
Tim, I'm sorry I missed this news - I don't come on as often as in the past... How are you feeling now? Still making progress? That must have been very scary!!
