Wow !Thankyou so much for sharing all these photos.

I love just sitting in my neighbours garden watching the birds (we share, as I only have a tiny courtyard but it's open into his garden). He made a nesting box in the hope some great or blue tits might use it but unfortunately there aren't many around here. We live in a small town between Bergerac and Bordeaux in France.

I'm in the UK, Dawn, and we had to get rid of our nesting box for the Blue Tits because of the sudden large cat population in our neighbourhood. We have a cat but she's and old lady now and her hunting days seem to be long behind her, thankfully, so I don't spend my days now searching for live mice that she used to bring in. We have Blue Tits, amongst others, visit the feeders in the garden though, so nice to sit and watch them.

Being a bit of a bird watcher myself, I have really enjoyed this story and pictures you have shown us. I never thought for one minute you would have had the privilege to actually watch, never mind photograph these adorable little things fledge, its absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. It has been one reason to get up in the morning, to see what they are up to, I wish them both a long and successful life, bringing many other little Costa's into the world. We all need their beauty in our lives. We are going to miss your little babies SewBears.

When I started the series of I Spy I had no idea that I would be able to chronicle their whole story. It’s been such a pleasure and I’m so glad that others were able to share this experience with me.

When Covid lets up I will be choosing one of the hummingbird photos to be my very first tattoo. I guess there’s a first for everything.
