Have anyone tried using Thiamine B1 in large doses??

My dad tried B6 in large doses, after a urine test indicated a very high need. We did see a very mild improvement in speech and balance. But it wasn't getting to the root cause of WHY he had a high need for B6 - he had several digestive symptoms as well, so I suspect from the gut. He didn't keep up with the high dose, due to lack of motivation (and expense).

I've had Crohn's Disease since my 20's and have taken Sublingual B-12 for decades because my bowels don't absorbing well. The only other B-Complex vitamins I get in pill form is my daily multivitamin.
